HOW WE WORK

Common Questions

We are specialist doctors who work alongside case managers, treating therapy teams and other professionals, providing medical assessment, advice, and collaborative support as needed. Our specialist team comprising of a neurorehabilitation medicine consultant, neuropsychiatrist, neurologist, and general practitioners are able to provide individual assessments, joint reviews, and longer-term continuity of care interventions.

We provide specialist assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD. We also have a specialist older adults mental health pathway with a memory assessment service.

Our expert consultants are able to provide consultations for common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and stress-related conditions on request.

We support individuals with acquired brain injuries, complex trauma, neurological conditions such as stroke, spasticity management, neuropathic pain, post-traumatic headaches, ADHD and related conditions.

We also provide assessment for cognitive problems, dementia, and other neurological disabilities and mental health conditions requiring specialist medical input.

We offer a range of assessments and support. We require a referral from your GP or another treating clinician/therapist, case managers or solicitors. We do not accept self-referrals. We are not able to liaise with insurance companies directly. The invoice will be sent to the case management company or solicitor/client for processing.

We are working on developing a Right to Choose pathway, but this is not available yet.

Yes. We are experienced in collaborating with NHS teams and other healthcare providers. Our role complements existing services through provision of specialist expertise.

We aim to review new referrals promptly. Initial contact is usually within 2–3 working days, and appointments are scheduled as soon as convenient for the individual and their team.

Our input is usually funded through insurance claims, medico-legal processes, or private payment arrangements. We will provide clear cost information before any work begins.

(Right to Choose pathway is currently unavailable)

We primarily provide remote consultations via a secure video consultation platform, which allows us to support clients across England efficiently. In-person assessments can be arranged, this would incur additional costs. Contact us to discuss.

Our care packages for brain injury rehabilitation may include provision of virtual attendances at MDT meetings and case management reviews at scheduled times.

We send copies of clinic letters to case managers with the patient’s consent.
